{"id":2612,"date":"2011-09-11T10:00:01","date_gmt":"2011-09-11T14:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/foa.wpengine.com\/?post_type=news&#038;p=2612"},"modified":"2012-09-03T20:10:25","modified_gmt":"2012-09-04T00:10:25","slug":"graduate-raisess-funds-to-purchase-sign-for-five-oaks-academy-campus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/foastatic.local\/news\/graduate-raisess-funds-to-purchase-sign-for-five-oaks-academy-campus","title":{"rendered":"Graduate Raises Funds to Purchase Sign for Five Oaks Academy Campus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2645\" src=\"http:\/\/foastatic.local\/wp-content\/uploads\/Juliet1-300x257.jpg\" alt=\"Montessori Student Enhances Campus\" width=\"270\" height=\"231\" \/>Juliet Jacob, seven year veteran of Five Oaks Academy, raised funds and purchased a sign for the Five Oaks Academy campus\u00a0as a part of her graduation project.\u00a0 She raised more than $2,000 through her efforts of fundraising events held at the school.\u00a0 The events she planned, organized, and and managed included catering special events,\u00a0\u00a0hosting hot dog sales for campus-wide events, babysitting for evening parent education events, teaching a hula-hooping studio for after school students, and holding a Valentine&#8217;s Day dance for students.<\/p>\n<p>With the help of Russ Morin, her teacher of six years, \u00a0and Laura Baur, school owner, \u00a0Juliet created a design for the sign which stands at the entrance of Five Oaks Academy.\u00a0 When asked about her project, Juliet said, \u00a0&#8220;It was tough work getting it installed in the ground but the end result is great.
